Jo-Na's Gifts by Mail is a home based business located in Apple Creek, Ohio. My husband Don and I have two sons. The name Jo-Na's (pronounced Joe-Nays) is derived from the first two letters of the names of our two sons.
Our story began in the early 1990’s when I started selling Christian greeting cards to people in our church family involved in card ministry. For nearly a decade, providing hard-to-find Christian cards at discount prices was as much a ministry on my part as it was a business. Then in the fall of 2001, within a span of three months, both my husband and I underwent surgery. Not having health insurance at the time, we faced major medical bills. We thank the Lord for friends who helped, and as we healed, for the additional employment Don was able to secure. It was at this time I began selling greeting cards online. Starting with an inventory of 48 boxes of cards (4 each of 16 different boxed cards), Jo-Na’s Gifts by Mail went online in May of 2002. It would be nine long months before we received our first internet order. Needless to say, there was very little profit during those initial years. But with every year came growth - and help in paying all of our medical bills. For this, as in all things, we give thanks to our Heavenly Father.
Today we provide our customers with a wide selection of quality Christian greeting cards at discount prices. We offer boxed Christian cards from leading Christian greeting card companies, including DaySpring, Christian Inspiration, Divinity Greetings, Gracefully Yours, Heartwarming Thoughts, Shared Blessings and Warner Press, maintaining an inventory of thousands. Many have found boxed inspirational cards to be an inexpensive aid in remembering life’s many occasions, as well as a helpful tool to keep Christ and the Scriptures before our generation.
